It has been 69 years since the formation of the state of Kerala. Although Kerala is among the smallest states in terms of area, we have managed to achieve many achievements that are noticed all over the world. This is the most important achievement that Malayalis all over the world are celebrating this year.
As we commemorate the formation of the state on the basis of language, Kerala is witnessing another important announcement that will be written in golden letters in history. Kerala is rising to the status of an ‘extreme poverty-free state’, which has been achieved by only a handful of regions in the world and which any progressive society dreams of. Beyond the mere achievement in numbers, this announcement ensures that there is not a single person in Kerala who does not have food to eat, a house to live in, or free medical treatment. This is a humane example that Malayalis all over the world can be proud of.
