Co-op Kumbh 2025 : Connecting Youth with the Co-operative sector is the need of the hour- Shri Gautam Kumar Dak, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Cooperation and Civil Aviation

New Delhi : ” Co-op Kumbh 2025,” a two-day international conference on the empowerment of urban cooperative banks and credit societies, commemorating the ” International Year of Cooperatives- 2025,” began on Monday at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. It was inaugurated by Union Home and Cooperative Minister Shri Amit Shah. Representatives, experts, and young entrepreneurs from the cooperative sector from India and abroad attended the event. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Amit Shah stated that cooperative banks and institutions are now playing a vital role not only in rural but also in urban areas. He added that the central government is working continuously with the states to expand the cooperative movement to urban areas. He expressed hope that the cooperative sector will soon grow strongly in urban areas, providing new employment opportunities for youth.
During the inaugural session, Rajasthan’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Cooperation and Civil Aviation, Mr. Gautam Kumar Dak, said that connecting youth with cooperatives is the need of the hour , so that the spirit of cooperation can be further strengthened in the country’s economic structure. Mr. Dak said that the cooperative movement in Rajasthan has been very strong and to strengthen it further, our government is continuously working on how to strongly spread this movement in villages as well as cities so that everyone can benefit from it.
Minister of State Gautam Kumar Dak stated that new urban cooperative banks will be established in cities with a population of more than two lakh . This will create new employment opportunities locally and strengthen the community’s economic infrastructure.
